I had suffered from hip pain for over 7 years as all the Drs I had seen in those years were treating it as bursitis. I had done several cortisone injections, several physical therapy treatments and was just living with a severe limp and pain after sitting and walking. It was painful to lay on it also and as time went on it hurt with every step I took. I finally requested an MRI and that showed I had torn medius and minimus glute muscles. I was referred to Dr. O from a north Iowa Doctor. From the time I met with Dr. O to my latest follow up appointment, it has been nothing but professionalism. He gives you the options for surgery, what the recovery time and therapy will look like. I also like the fact that he goes with a non-opioid pain management approach. No it's not fun having surgery, but Dr. O and his team did an outstanding job of preparing me for my Open Gluteus repair with allograft!
